The Ruhuhu Ward sits in a river valley between the Tanzanian shores of Lake Malawi (Lake Nyassa) and the mouth of the Ruhuhu River. It is roughly 73km, a 4 hours drive on a dirt road, from the Ludewa District headquarters and about 100km from Songea, the largest closest town.
A total of 221 children are enrolled in the school at present. They take turns to use the only 2 remaining classrooms.
At present, 421 children are enrolled in the Ngelenge school. They are taking turns on 5 classrooms.
Help us support the Ilela & Ngelenge Primary Schools efforts to rebuild their schools.
100% of every donation goes to purchase the roofing material needed to repair the damaged classrooms for over 600 students in the Ruhuhu Ward District.
Donate to One World's Children Fund: The Ilela & Ngelenge Primary School Project.
We need volunteers to spread the word that these schools need support.

We envision a world where all children have access to education and healthcare. They live in a safe environment with adequate food, shelter, clothing and opportunity.
We envision a world where people, as part of the global community, affect positive change, locally and around the world.
We envision a world where children live in peace, prosperity and equality.
